Gulf Station

This gas and service station was located at the northeast corner of North High Street and Indian Springs Drive. The old building was renovated to transform it into a Fusian Restaurant. (Thanks to Bob O’Shaughnessy, who informed me that this is Fusion’s preferred method of developing new restaurants.) Can anyone out there name the men?

Note the “two laugh-crammed pictures” at the movie theater in the background.

  1. Bob O’Shaughnessy Says:

Fusian renovated the existing gas station building rather than tearing it down. In fact, this is their preferred method of opening new restaurants.

  2. Shirley Hyatt Says:

Thanks, Bob! I’ve corrected the post.

  3. Bill Lawson Says:

Mr. Fishbaugh ran Shell Gas station on the SW corner of Como and High in the 1950’s (next to Trenor Dodge/Plymouth in their niche). He then moved to Indian Springs and North High and name the 24 hour Beechwold Gulf and Wrecker(towing) service with purple wrecker trucks. Not real sure about his first name but the tall man on the right looked like him. He lived on the East side of Karl Road between Oakland Park and Cooke Roads.
