I started working for the Zimmerman Family in 1959 after graduating from Linden McKinley High School. Robert and Richard owned The Plastex Company on Cleveland Ave. I was 18 years old at that time I am now 84 and still doing modified bookkeeping for Richard's oldest son Ric. The Zimmerman family have been my family for 67 years. There have been no greater people to work for or who cared so much for their employees. God Bless the entire family.

I began swimming at Olympic Swim Club in the late forties and eventually was hired to run the concession stand in the mid 50's by Dick Zimmerman. The following year I was asked to run the concession stand during the first year of operation on his new pool in an eastern suburb. As a college student at CCAD I would occasionally see Dick at his Olympic bowling alley on Broad street while I had lunch there. I'm 77 now but still have wonderful memories of the fun times at the swim club! It was a great place to be as a teenager...swimming, girls, and early rock and roll!!!
