I own the Wurlitzer 153 band organ that played at Smith’s Skating Rink. I bought it in 2019 from the widow of a man in Terre Haute, Indiana. He bought it in 1965. Originally it belonged to a carnival owner, Charles Brodbeck of Kinsley, Kansas until it was sold to Mr. Smith around 1925.

I’m trying to fill in the gaps in the organ’s history, and I noticed that the Indiana owner’s 1965 purchase date coincides with Adele’s death. Do you know of anyone living that’s knowledgeable about the Smiths that might be able to provide more information?
