I find this particular station most interesting because it breaks completely away from the "Corporate Cottage that was adapted in 1923. The pumps appear to be 1928 Dayton's . Dayton pumps were native to Ohio and that would make sense from a cost standpoint

I remember the terribly cute little gas station at the corner of Weber Rd and Indianola Ave. that today could have accomodated maybe 2 cars. It must have been built in the early 20's. There's a convenience store there now. During the war they had a siren mounted on top of the service station, which sounded the alarm for a blackout, and we'd all turn out our lights or put up blankets over the window. Columbus had enough war-related industry such as Timken Bearings and Curtis-Wright Manufacturing to warrant having black-outs.

Anyone know what corner this stood on at the intersection??? I'm guessing the SE corner where the UDF is. I remember the old SOHIO station that was there in the 70's.
