I don’t recall a soda fountain. But could have been there before my time. I worked there during high school in the early 80’s and went to school with the kids.The area in the store that displayed the photography equipment seems like it could have been a soda fountain and seating area in the past.

I remember charlie liked the ruben sandwiches from smiths deli just down high street.

The basement was creepy. The only entrance was in the backroom via a trap door.

I remember walking past this pharmacy on my way to Clinton elementary school. Ironically, it was next to Dr Bluff’s dental office.

Hi David,
My source for that information was Gordon Knight, one of the former owners. Sadly Gordon passed away in 2010.
I am not disputing what you say about this location. There were several generations of pharmacies there; I wonder whether you are remembering a different generation/business name than Gordon was remembering.

But there was a soda fountain; I was a regular there from about 1945 to 1955.

THe counter seated about 10 on stools, and it was located in SE corner of the store.

They still sold many phosphates, although cokes and sundaes were already more popular.

Gray’s drug store acros the street had a complete luch counter.
