Trope saloon

Myron Trope, a Russian immigrant, ran a grocery store that doubled as a saloon. In 1897, his business was in North Columbus at 2575 North High Street. This saloon may have been the closest place Clintonville men could get a drink. It was common at the time for bars to offer a free lunch to the male patrons who frequented the saloons.
