Bill Case’s New Book about the Wyandot Golf Club

William R. Case has published a book about the Elks / Wyandot Golf Course. The book’s title is Golf in Columbus at Wyandot Country Club. As of this posting, The Book Loft in German Village (Columbus, OH) or Barnes and Noble at Easton Town Center have it in stock. If, like me, you are a prolific library user, you can also locate the book in a library near you here.

Bill has collected lots of great photos and researched this golf course (now the location of the Ohio State School for the Blind and the Ohio School for the Deaf) extensively. You will enjoy his book! [Images courtesy of Bill Case]

I lived in Clintonville from my birth Aug 1956 to present. My former address was 123 Crestview Rd Columbus Oh. I graduated in 1974 from North High School. I currently reside in Beechwold. Since I have gone into my 60’s I have a great interest in the history of both Clintonville & Beechwold. The pics on this website are wonderful & very informative. I have been searching for the former nursing home which I worked @ in High School. This building is no longer standing. There is currently a McDonald’s in it’s place. Is there anyone out there with a pic of this home/nursing home? There were 2 lions on the front steps of this structure. What happened to these lions? I did purchase a paperback book @ Walgreens several years ago about Clintonville & Beechwold. I truly enjoyed the articles & pics. The pic of the bowling alley where the Giant Eage sits today was one of my favorite places of entertainment. If anyone out there has a pic of this home/nursing home place share it on this website. Thanks! Barb Nugent AKA Barb Lower
